Meals on Wheels Board President Announces New CEO

October 26, 2022

Erik McGaughey, MOWGLV CEO

We are pleased to share that Board President David Romanelli recently announced our next leader for Meals on Wheels of the Greater Lehigh Valley has been selected. Erik McGaughey will be joining our team as CEO on November 21, 2022. Current CEO, Vicki Coyle, will be retiring in early December.

We are excited to have Erik join us at Meals on Wheels. His strong leadership abilities and development skills, along with his commitment to helping others through non-profit work will ensure the continued positive impact of Meals on Wheels on the lives of seniors and adults with disabilities throughout the Lehigh Valley.

Erik comes to Meals on Wheels from the American Cancer Society where he was most recently the Regional Development Director. During his fourteen years at the American Cancer Society, Erik developed systematic approaches to fundraising and stewardship, managed the largest regional event/relationship portfolio, worked with volunteers to deliver organizational goals, and exceeded national standards for membership recruitment expectations. In his communication with staff, Romanelli shared, “We are excited to have Erik join us at Meals on Wheels. His strong leadership abilities and development skills, along with his commitment to helping others through non-profit work will ensure the continued positive impact of Meals on Wheels on the lives of seniors and adults with disabilities throughout the Lehigh Valley.”

On behalf of the entire Meals on Wheels organization, we would like to congratulate Vicki Coyle on her retirement and share our appreciation for all she has accomplished for Meals on Wheels. We are grateful for her hard work and dedication over the past four and a half years. She has led us through some major transitions – the merger, the challenges of COVID, and the move to our new building. Meals on Wheels is stronger and well positioned for future success thanks to Vicki’s efforts.

Please be assured that you can expect a seamless transition and continued commitment to our mission to provide hot, nutritious meals to vulnerable senior citizens and adults with disabilities throughout the Lehigh Valley. The important work we do to deliver ‘more than a meal’ to these at-risk and socially isolated adults is our top priority. We hope you will join us in welcoming Erik to our organization.
