Volunteer Application Process

Thank you for expressing your interest in volunteering with Meals on Wheels of the Greater Lehigh Valley! Our registration and training process are carefully designed to equip you with essential information while prioritizing the safety and well-being of our clients.

Follow these Four Easy Steps:

1. Complete the Volunteer Inquiry.
2. Complete the Liability & Release Form.
3. Download Orientation Packet and thoroughly review its contents.
4. Complete a criminal and background check using Sterling Volunteers. Upon receiving your application, we will provide a link for you to complete this check online. Easy-to-follow instructions will be included to facilitate the process on the Sterling website. While Meals on Wheels covers a portion of the background check cost, volunteers are initially responsible for the remaining fee, approximately $25. Upon completing 40 hours of volunteering, we offer a $25 gas card as reimbursement.  As soon as we receive the completed application, we will provide additional details.

You will receive an email from our Volunteer Services Team with the Volunteer Application. Once your application is approved, we will coordinate a volunteering schedule that aligns with your availability!
