At this time, Pennsylvania is in Phase 1A of the vaccination plan. This means that those individuals currently eligible to receive a vaccine are health care workers, persons living in long-term care facilities, persons age 65 and older, and those age 16-64 with high-risk conditions. If our volunteers or donors meet any of these eligibility requirements, we encourage you to consider getting vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus. To find out if you are eligible to receive your COVID-19 vaccination, visit these hospital websites below:

It was recently announced that Meals on Wheels of the Greater Lehigh Valley staff are now eligible to receive their COVID-19 vaccinations as the MOW organization falls under the “home health agency” category of the Pennsylvania vaccination plan. In keeping with our goal to ensure the safety of our clients and volunteers, MOWGLV staff are encouraged to seize this opportunity but are not being required to get vaccinated.
In continuing with our safety precautions, all MOWGLV staff and volunteers are still required to wear masks in the office and while out delivering meals. We ask that you continue to practice social distancing and sanitize hands and surfaces frequently.
